How to tell if your automation is working
Pick two or three numbers before you build, and make the workflow report them on its own.

It is easy to build a workflow and never learn whether it helped. Decide how you will judge it before you write the first step.
Choose a baseline
Write down how the process runs today: how long a lead waits for a first reply, how many hours the team spends on it, how many get dropped. Without a baseline, any improvement is a guess.
Track a few signals
- Speed: time from form submission to first response.
- Coverage: share of leads that entered the flow without manual work.
- Errors: runs that failed or needed a human fix.
Make it self-reporting
Have the workflow log each run and send a short weekly summary to the people who own the result. Failures should alert someone immediately, not wait for the next review.
